How long does it take to obtain Residency and an ID Card – Cédula?
Allow around 3 months for the resident card, then 1 additional month for the Cédula. The temporary offer with Cédula and the transition to permanent status therefore represents approximately 4 months. For the tax residency offer, the RUC then asks for approximately 1 additional month, or approximately 5 months in total. These deadlines may vary depending on the file and the administrations.
Do I have to be physically present in Paraguay?
Yes, only one 5-day stay is planned for procedures that require your presence. Monitoring then continues remotely.
How is the RUC obtained without further travel?
Once the ID Card – Cédula is available and subject to your eligibility, our team prepares and monitors the opening of the RUC remotely.
What documents should I prepare?
Prepare your apostilled birth certificate, your apostilled criminal record, your valid passport and a photo of your face on a white background. If you are married or divorced, also add your apostilled marriage or divorce certificate.
